What Brought Us Here - Fireline Fitness

What Brought Us Here

Well, I don't know how to start this, so I guess I'll start with a simple hello, and a very sincere thank you for reading this.

I wanted to write this post to introduce my company, give a little background on why I started it, my goals, and vision.

My name is Anders, and I spent my late teens and most of my 20's fighting wildfires. I got introduced to the field right after I graduated high school, and after my first fire, I was hooked! I started with a hand crew in Incline Village the next year. I became a lead sawyer - one of 2 or 3 members of the 18 man crew who runs a chainsaw, until I was put in a leadership role. After a few years of that, I decided to move to a helicopter crew for the rest of my career.

During my tenure in the wildfire field, I got introduced to, and fell in love with fitness, and self care. I experimented with a ton of products, diets and routines. In other words, I was able to see what worked and what didn't. I was able to fine tune a routine that worked for me, and kept me in fire season shape.

For context on what that means - this article does a fantastic job. In short - the output of a hotshot on the fire line is the same a rider in the tour de france. But a firefighter has to do that for months on end.

After I left the industry, the love and interest in all things health fitness stuck with me. Which brings me to Freline Fitness. I realized that a lot of the companies making these supplements are either out to make a quick buck, or don't have a lot of knowledge on what it takes to continually push your body that hard, and stay healthy. Both mentally and physically.

I decided that I wanted to change that.

My goal for this company is to build a trustworthy, hard working company and community. I want to build a brand that you feel great supporting, and being a part of.

So, with that in mind, I would be absolutely humbled if you joined me on this journey. I will be writing my thoughts here on the blog, as well as sharing updates and insights on YouTube. I want to get to know you all as well, so if you are willing to join in on this crazy undertaking, I'd love to get to know you! Say hello on social media, slide into the DM's or even write a letter. I 100% can't do this without you, and I would love to build a report with those of you who are ready to have fun and put in the work to be better, healthier humans.

Thank you all, and I will see you out on the trails or in the gym!
